Race Results - 2018 WYS Instructors Challenge - August 19, 2018
The Instructors Challenge is designed as a recreational end-of-season race for WYS employees, families, and invited guests. WYS Instructors (or employees or special invited guests) will skipper Flying Scot sailboats. Crew positions are available on a limited basis to WYS members who bid for the opportunity to race with one of the instructors. The three highest bidders can select the Instructor they want to race with, and the remaining crew positions will be assigned by the Principal Race Officer based on bid value, highest amounts awarded first. A bid of $100 will guarantee a crew position.
2018 Fundraiser Benefit - Funds raised by bids for crew positions in this year's Instructors Challenge will benefit the Donnelly Brothers' campaign to make the Irish 2020 Olympics Sailboat Racing Team in their 49er sailboat. Follow Tadgh and Sean Donnelly on Facebook at Donnelly Brothers Sailing. Tadgh was an instructor at WYS during the summer of 2016 and hails from Dublin, Ireland. WYS has also hosted instructors from Ireland for 2017 and 2018.
